Functional Health and Wellness

How The Program Works and Pricing

We think getting a good health baseline is wise for everyone. The program will guide you and help you make an assessment based on your total health picture:

  • Health history

  • Self Check

  • Functional Blood Chemistry Analysis

  • Diet/Supplements

  • Environmental Toxins

  • Technology: Wearables

If you are young, have a clean family history, have had no problems you are aware of, and feel great, then you may be good to go.

If you are approaching 40 or older, you have a family history of diseases like diabetes, heart disease, dementia, have had a little stress in your life, and maybe notice that you just don't feel like you did when you were 25, it might be time to take a good look.

And how frequently should you perform this overall assessment? There is no standard answer to this question. If you develop symptoms, get "diagnosed" with a disease, have a big life stressor, and start to notice a change in energy levels and even your thoughts, then it is probably time to take another look.

Bronze Plan

$3.00 per month or $25.00 per year

This plan includes 1 year of full access to the Functional Health and Wellness Website.

We start with a proper history. Not too long, but not so short as to omit important information about your health. We include links if you wish to dive more deeply into any particular area. If lots of boxes are checked, then you may wish to pursue professional guidance. All forms are online - no paper!

Questionnaires

  • Health History Questionnaire- this form reviews your health history and your family health history. This is very important information for determining "how far down the rabbit hole" you are. Your age, your current state of health, and your family (genetic) history are key factors in determining what testing you may or may not need to get a good baseline.

  • Micronutrient deficiency and Environmental Toxicity Questionnaire - our current world is very different than the one in which most of mankind has lived. Our food is processed and our environment is toxic. How much are you affected? Answer these questions and you will quickly learn whether or not you may be micronutrient (vitamins and minerals) deficient and/or have issues with toxicity (air pollution, water, chemicals in food, etc.).

  • Multiple Symptom Questionnaire - do you have a specific sensitivity to gluten? This survey will help you make that determination.

  • Exercise Readiness - are you ready to exercise? Take this Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire and find out.

Self Check

  • Take a good look at yourself. What is important? We guide you through a self assessment. The goal is to identify any “red flags” which you can then discuss with a health care professional. This section also includes links if you wish to dive more deeply into any particular area.

  • The intent is NOT to make a “diagnosis,” but simply to learn more about your body. How is your dental health? What does your skin look like? Do your joints move the way they should? Have you performed a breast self exam or testicular self exam? What is your hip/waist ratio?

Functional Blood Chemistry Analysis

  • Most people have had some sort of general physical examination blood work run by their doctor at some point in their lives. The doctor quickly scans down the list to see if any values are out of the reference range. If not, the doctor pronounces "everything looks fine."

  • Unfortunately, the specific tests on this "blood work" are not standardized from doctor to doctor. And the reference ranges for each test are not standardized from lab to lab. Lastly, these reference ranges are not optimal health ranges. This section explains what a functional blook chemistry analysis is and provides you with a list of suggested blood chemistry tests.

  • You have two options:

    • Get these tests paid for by your insurance. Ask your doctor to run the recommended tests as part of your annual physical. Believe it or not, your doctor may not "approve" some of these tests. And it is very difficult to find out what tests your insurance will and will not pay for. Ask politely, but firmly for all the suggested tests.

  • If your doctor just will not approve the tests (and you will not be able to get them paid for by insurance), there is an option to have "direct to consumer" blood tests. The "order your own blood work" option is explained in this section.

Technology.

With “wearables” becoming the rage, which are worthwhile? We list some incredible, simple, inexpensive devices to measure what is important. We will provide links to these devices. We have no financial interest in these devices.

Diet, Supplements, and Environmental Toxicity.

What are the right foods to eat? How much of each? Are supplements necessary? Which ones? Am I exposed to environmental toxins? General suggestions are given. Personalized suggestions are available in our Silver, Gold, and Platinum Plans.

Silver Plan

$50.00 one time charge

$3.00 per month or $25.00 per year

This plan includes 1 year of full access to the Functional Health and Wellness Website.

This plan also includes a Functional Blood Chemistry Analysis Report of any existing blood work or new blood work you choose to order.

Blood work is the single best metric we currently have available to us to look more deeply into your personal health status. What does your biochemistry look like, not someone elses. How many tests are out of the optimal range? What does that mean?

An incredibly informative report is provided to educate you on the relationship of the tests results to your health status. Again, the goal is to identify any “red flags” which you can then discuss with a health care professional.

Gold Plan

$ per month or $ per year

This plan includes 1 year of full access to the Functional Health and Wellness Website.

Consultation with one of our experts: $125.00 for  a one hour consultation. This can be done by phone, Skype, or Facetime.

This consultation will provide a review your Functional Blood Chemistry Analysis Report and includes personalized suggestions based on this report.

If you decide to have several blood chemistries run during the year, you may choose to have another consult. There will be a charge of $100.00 for each 1 hour consultation.

Platinum Plan

$25.00 per month

This plan includes 1 year of full access to the Functional Health and Wellness Website.

In addition, you receive one 90 minute consultation with one of our experts to review not only your Functional Blood Chemistry Analysis, but all the data you have documented. What did your questionnaires tell you, what did you find on your self check, what wearables have you decided to use and what have you discovered, what does your diet look like and what (if any) supplements do you take?

All of this information plus the results of your Functional Blood Chemistry Analysis is synthesized and suggestions are made.
