Liver Cleanse/Colon Cleanse vs. Cellular and Genetic Detoxification – A BIG DIFFERENCE!

Detox, Cleanse, Purification – these are words you read all the time in wellness and fitness publications. You may have heard of liver cleanse, colon cleanse, juice cleanse, 21 day purification, and raw organic detox. Celebrities are always detoxing (by pretty much starving themselves). The process is supposed to “remove natural toxins” that “clog the colon and liver” in order to “promote optimal energy” and “improve overall health.”

What is the best way to cleanse the body internally and externally and do we even need to do it?

There are differing opinions on detox programs. Most in the medical profession will tell you that detoxification programs are unnecessary, do not work, and may even be harmful.

Others state that detoxification is necessary given today’s poor food choices and toxic external environment.

Whether you are on a detox program or not, your body is undergoing a natural detoxification process all the time. You breathe in air and breathe out carbon dioxide. You drink fluid and eat food and you urinate and have bowel movements. You move and you sweat. Your excretory system regulates the chemical composition of body fluids by removing metabolic wastes and retaining the proper amounts of water, salts, and nutrients.

The excretory system is a passive biological system that removes excess, unnecessary or dangerous materials from an organism, so as to help maintain homeostasis within the organism and prevent damage to the body. It is responsible for the elimination of the waste products of metabolism as well as other liquid and gaseous wastes. As most healthy functioning organs produce metabolic and other wastes, the entire organism depends on the function of the system; however, only the organs specifically for the excretion process are considered a part of the excretory system.

In addition to natural waste products, we are exposed to external toxins everyday (pollution, pesticides, chemicals from food additives, cleaning products and personal care items).

The Centers for Disease Control published its Fourth National Report on Human Exposure to Environmental Chemicals to determine which chemicals get into Americans and at what concentrations., The report analyzed the blood and urine levels of 212 chemicals in a sampling of about 2,400 Americans ages 6 and older. The CDC found toxic residues in virtually every sample tested.

At a macro level, the liver and colon remove toxins and waste from the body every day. At a micro level, the cells of your body remove cellular waste and repair oxidative damage.

Micronutrient deficient diets, environmental toxins, and stress all diminish the function of the liver and colon as well as the ability of each cell to process toxins.

Here are some symptoms which may indicate the need for improved detoxification in your body:

  • Stuffy head

  • Increased weight gain

  • Fatigue and difficulty sleeping

  • Digestion and gastrointestinal problems

  • Food cravings

  • Loss of mental clarity

  • Low libido

Commonly promoted Detox programs hope to do two things (the legitimate ones):

  1. Clean up your diet

  2. Correct micronutrient deficiency

  3. Rid your body of toxins

First, making better food choices and replenishing micronutrients helps restore your body’s natural detoxification process at macro level by helping the liver and colon work properly. Making better food choices is a given – removing processed foods and replacing them with nutrient dense foods is always the first step. No supplement will ever replace good food choices.

Second, standard detox programs do not tell you if you are micronutrient deficient, they only assume you are. How do you really know if you are micronutrient deficient? By measurement! The most-accurate, non-invasive measurement tool is called the BioPhotonic Scanner. This amazing device measures the antioxidant levels in your tissues in just 30 seconds!

If your results show a deficiency, then not only are the above mentioned dietary changes mandatory, you now know that your body requires supplementation to restore your nutrient deficiencies. By measuring regularly you will know if you have corrected your deficiencies and that you are maintaining a proper nutrient balance.

Third, a fallacy of these programs is that they “rid the body of toxins.” As you now know, this is an ongoing process. These quick fix programs promote an on again, off again mentality. A daily approach falls in line with the body’s natural rhythm.

While correcting diet and micronutrient deficiency are important in the maintaining the body’s natural purification process, changes in function must ultimately be addressed at the source - the genetic level or what is called gene expression.

Gene expression, or epigenetics, is like a switch which influences the way that genes are turned on or off. The genetic code stored in DNA is "interpreted" by gene expression, and the properties of the expression give rise to the organism's observable characteristics. Gene expression is the difference between an organism's heredity and what that heredity produces.

Oxidative injury, chronic inflammation, accumulation of cellular waste, and damage of the body’s natural repair mechanisms are all responsible for lack of proper purification and lead to aging and age-related diseases.

“Aging is considered to be the result of the accumulation of damage over time. And the accumulation of cellular waste along with impairments in … repair mechanisms, that lead to additional damage and toxicants. Left unchecked, a vicious cycle ensues, accelerating the ageing process.”

“One strategy would be to intervene early in life, even in mid-life, with nutritional compounds that may protect against and/or modulate gene expression in order to enhance the removal of cellular toxicants and stimulate repair mechanisms in order to prevent, delay and/or attenuate the aging process (emphasis added).”

From A Unique Nutritional Formulation to Promote Cellular Protection and Purification Via Induction of the Nrf2-mediated ARE/Phase II Detoxification Pathways

Why waste time and money on liver and colon cleanses when there is a way to get to deepest level of purification and address it at the genetic level? And doing this daily assures you that cellular detoxification functions properly.

There is only one way to do this and it is called R2. R2 has a researched blend of nutrients which address cellular detoxification. R2 is the only product available that addresses cellular detoxification at the level of gene expression. Not only that, it addresses energy production at the deepest level – the mitochondria of you cells.

I have been fortunate to be using R2 since November 2012. I will NEVER STOP USING THIS PRODUCT! Why? As someone who suffered with A-Fib episodes every two months from 2009 - 2012, I have not had a single sustained bout since starting R2 in late 2012! I certainly cannot tell you this will happen for you, but it did for me!

This exciting new product will is available today!
